Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, during his visit to New York for the UN General Assembly’s 80th session, has expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to enhance its relationship with Kuwait. He emphasized key sectors like commerce, investment, farming, animal husbandry, labor export, and healthcare.
Sharif met with Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. The meeting underscored the enduring bond between the two nations. The Prime Minister conveyed his regards to the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Acknowledging Kuwait’s support after Pakistan’s recent floods, Sharif expressed gratitude. He anticipates welcoming the Crown Prince to Pakistan later this year, with dates being finalized.
The leaders discussed global and regional matters, including the Middle East situation. The Crown Prince commended Pakistan’s efforts in highlighting the Palestinian cause and its role in regional peace. Both leaders pledged closer cooperation bilaterally and within international platforms.
