Pakistan Security Forces Neutralize Indian-Sponsored Militants in South Waziristan

South Waziristan: In a significant operation on June 24, 2025, Pakistan’s security forces successfully targeted and neutralized militants in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan. The operation was carried out based on intelligence reports indicating the presence of members of the group Fitna al Khwarij, an entity allegedly backed by Indian interests.

During the operation, security personnel engaged the militants, resulting in the deaths of eleven individuals reportedly affiliated with the Indian-sponsored group. Additionally, seven members of the group sustained injuries.

Tragically, the exchange of fire led to the loss of two Pakistani soldiers. Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah, 37, from District Chakwal, and Lance Naik Jibran Ullah, 27, from District Bannu, both perished in the line of duty. Major Shah, known for his leadership in operations against such groups, was at the forefront of the mission.

Following the clash, security forces initiated a sanitization operation to identify and eliminate any remaining threats in the region. This effort is part of Pakistan’s broader strategy to counter Indian-sponsored terrorism within its borders. The sacrifices of Major Shah and Lance Naik Ullah have reinforced the resolve of the security forces to continue their mission against militancy.
