Islamabad, Pakistan has achieved re-election to the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for the next four years. This development reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to UNESCO’s global objectives.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that Pakistan’s re-election is a recognition of its long-term support and constructive role within the United Nations. Following its re-election, Pakistan plans to continue collaborating with Member States to strengthen UNESCO’s mandate, contribute to policymaking, and ensure the effective oversight of the organization’s programs and activities. Baloch highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to build consensus on critical issues at UNESCO and its commitment to promoting global peace and development through education, science, culture, and communication.
