Pakistan-Saudi Defence Pact Boosts Public Confidence in Diplomacy

Islamabad: A recent survey conducted by the Institute for Public Opinion Research has revealed strong public support for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, particularly in light of the Pakistan-Saudi Defence Agreement. Eighty percent of respondents believe the agreement has enhanced Pakistan’s global stature, reflecting widespread approval of the nation’s foreign policy direction.

The survey, reported by Radio Pakistan, also indicated that seventy-nine percent of participants supported the Pakistan-Saudi Defence Agreement, underscoring the public’s approval of the strengthened ties between the two countries.

In addition to the defense pact, the survey explored public opinion on the recent tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Seventy-one percent of those surveyed attributed the escalation to the Afghan Taliban, while seventy-five percent expressed full confidence in Pakistan’s response to the situation.

The survey highlighted that recent visits by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to the United States have contributed to elevating Pakistan’s global image and prestige, according to respondents. The findings suggest a strong belief in the effectiveness of Pakistan’s current diplomatic strategy.
