Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Agree to Bolster Defence and Air Force Ties

Islamabad, In a significant move to strengthen military relations, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to enhance their defence ties, with a special focus on advancing cooperation between their Air Forces. This agreement includes the promotion of joint military exercises and technological collaboration, underscoring the deepening strategic partnership between the two nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the agreement was reached during a meeting in Saudi Arabia, which saw high-level engagements among notable military leaders from both countries. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu of Pakistan and his counterparts, General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Lieutenant General Turki Bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Forces, were central to these discussions.

The talks culminated in the awarding of the King Abdul Aziz Badge of Honor of the Excellent Class to Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu by the Saudi Chief of the General Staff. This prestigious award not only symbolizes the individual achievements of the Air Chief but also represents the strengthening bonds and mutual respect between the military establishments of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
