Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with the Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Ambassador Kairat Sarybay, to discuss enhancing regional security and cooperation.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the meeting, Dar reinforced Pakistan’s dedication to CICA’s mission of establishing a common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security framework in Asia. He stressed the importance of conflict prevention, addressing the root causes of disputes, and finding sustainable solutions to ensure lasting peace and development within the CICA region.
Dar also highlighted the crucial roles of preventive diplomacy, multilateralism, and regional collaboration in tackling emerging global challenges. Secretary General Sarybay acknowledged Pakistan’s active and constructive involvement in the forum and shared insights into the forum’s current initiatives and its strategic direction going forward.
