Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Palestinians on Nakba Day

Islamabad: On the occasion of Nakba Day, Pakistan has reiterated its steadfast support for the Palestinian people in their pursuit of self-determination, freedom, and dignity. The day commemorates the historical events of 1948, which resulted in the displacement of countless Palestinians and their ongoing hardship.

According to Press Information Department, Pakistan has consistently advocated for the rights of Palestinians at the United Nations and other global platforms, guided by principles of justice, international law, and pertinent UN resolutions. The country emphasizes the importance of the Right of Return for Palestinian refugees, as outlined in UN Resolution 194.

Pakistan has called for the international community to maintain support for Palestinians, particularly refugees, and has stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, humanitarian aid, and accountability for Israel’s actions. Pakistan also supports the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

The statement concludes with Pakistan’s commitment to stand with the Palestinian people until their rights, including self-determination and statehood, are fully realized.
