Islamabad, Speakers at a recent event have reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the need for a just solution through the establishment of an independent, viable, and sovereign Palestinian state. This event, centered on expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine, was organized by the Institute of Strategic Studies (ISSI) on the ‘Global Day of Action for Gaza.’
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sohail Mahmood, Director General of ISSI, emphasized Pakistan’s stance, calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in the region. Amina Khan, Director of the Centre for Afghanistan, Middle East & Africa at the Institute, asserted that Pakistan will continue its steadfast support for the Palestinian people until their legitimate rights are fully realized.
Nader al Turk, Deputy Head of the Palestine Mission in Pakistan, brought attention to the severe conditions faced by civilians, especially children and women, in the Gaza Strip. He labeled the ongoing situation as genocide and expressed the resilience and determination of the Palestinian people to uphold their rights until justice is achieved.
