Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with the outgoing Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Jawad A.A. Rabei at the Prime Minister House, where he reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and condemned recent violence in Gaza.
According to Press Information Department, during the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his strong condemnation of the violence that occurred in Gaza since October 7, 2023, highlighting the significant loss of life and injuries sustained by Palestinians. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to a two-state solution for resolving the Palestine issue, aligning with pre-1967 borders and designating Al Quds as the capital, in line with relevant UN resolutions. Ambassador Rabei acknowledged Pakistan’s consistent support and its contributions to peace efforts, including humanitarian aid and educational opportunities for Palestinian students in Pakistan. The meeting concluded with well-wishes for Ambassador Rabei’s future endeavors.
