Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan reiterated the nation’s ongoing support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), committing to moral, political, and diplomatic backing until they achieve self-determination.
According to Kashmir Media Service, President Zardari, in a speech delivered during today’s joint session of the parliament, emphasized the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people in their struggle for freedom. He criticized the revocation of Articles 370 and 35A by India, describing these actions as part of a strategy to diminish the demographic and political rights of the Kashmiri Muslim population in their own land.
The President called on India to rescind all actions taken since August 05, 2019, which he labeled as illegal under international law. He also highlighted the importance of adhering to United Nations Security Council resolutions as essential for establishing lasting peace in South Asia.
Additionally, President Zardari expressed profound concern over the ongoing violence in Palestine, condemning the acts of brutality carried out by Israeli forces and reaffirming Pakistan’s support for the creation of an independent Palestinian state within the pre-1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.
