Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Kashmir and Palestine, Says Foreign Office Spokesperson

ISLAMABAD, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people in their quest for a resolution to the Kashmir dispute, aligning with the principles outlined in the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during her weekly media briefing in Islamabad, Baloch emphasized that Pakistan’s support for Kashmiris extends to political, diplomatic, and moral realms. She underscored the commitment to a just and peaceful settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.

Furthermore, the Spokesperson highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to foster international consensus and mobilize action for an immediate cessation of Israeli aggression against Palestinians. She also mentioned Pakistan’s active role in providing relief assistance to the people of Gaza amid the ongoing crisis.

Baloch welcomed the upcoming Extraordinary Islamic Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She noted that the OIC Summit, scheduled for the following day, is a response to the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza, which have endangered civilians and led to a humanitarian emergency. Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will be representing Pakistan at this pivotal Extraordinary OIC Summit.
