Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Kashmir Ahead of Black Day Observance

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, stated that Pakistan will continue its unwavering support for the people of Kashmir, as the country prepares to mark October 27 as Black Day. The day commemorates the events of 1947, when Indian forces militarily invaded and occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an act widely rejected by the Kashmiri people and Pakistan.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Engineer Muqam chaired a review meeting in Islamabad to finalize preparations for the observance of Black Day. He emphasized that the Pakistani people stand in solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters, vowing that the country would not rest until a just resolution is reached in line with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Muqam reiterated that Kashmir is close to the hearts of Pakistanis and that the occasion will send a clear message to the world regarding Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Kashmir politically, morally, and diplomatically. He underlined that Pakistan remains steadfast in advocating for Kashmir’s right to self-determination.
