Pakistan Reaffirms Strong Bilateral Ties with China in Lahore Meeting


Lahore: In a recent meeting with Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren, Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the enduring friendship and robust cooperation between Pakistan and China. The meeting, which took place in Lahore, served as a platform for both parties to discuss mutual interests and celebrate their longstanding bilateral relations, particularly highlighting the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a significant achievement.



According to Press Information Department, Minister Naqvi congratulated Consul General Zhao on China’s National Day and expressed admiration for China’s development under President Xi Jinping’s leadership. He referred to China as Pakistan’s most trustworthy ally, instrumental in stabilizing Pakistan’s economy. The Minister also acknowledged recent amendments made by the Ministry of Interior that have benefitted Chinese businessmen.



Consul General Zhao reciprocated the sentiments, describing Pakistan as China’s best friend and affirming his commitment to continued cooperation between the two nations. The meeting, attended by senior consular officials, underscored the strategic importance of the CPEC project and reinforced the mutual desire to sustain and deepen bilateral ties.
