Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestinians during a speech at the National Disaster Management Authority. The event, highlighting issues of regional and international concern, served as a platform for reaffirming Pakistan’s stance against what was described as Israeli aggression and oppression.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Minister articulated a strong connection between the Pakistani populace and Palestinians, noting that the emotions of Pakistanis are deeply intertwined with the plight of the Palestinians. He underscored that Pakistan has consistently voiced concerns over Palestinian oppression at various international venues, advocating for their human rights and freedoms.
Iqbal also commented on the global response to the Palestinian issue, pointing out the lack of action from traditional human rights advocates and highlighting the demonstrations in Western countries supporting Palestinian rights. He made a call to action for affluent individuals worldwide to increase their support and provide necessary assistance to those affected in Palestine.
