Islamabad: Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to global peace, justice, and multilateral cooperation, with Ambassador Munir Akram, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, marking United Nations Day with a message emphasizing Pakistan’s longstanding dedication to UN goals. He expressed Pakistan’s readiness to collaborate with all UN member states in building a more equitable and peaceful world.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador Akram reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the UN’s core objectives, including its advocacy for climate action, poverty eradication, and fundamental human rights. Akram also highlighted Pakistan’s contributions to UN peacekeeping operations and its support for the right of self-determination for peoples, notably in Kashmir and Palestine.
In his message, Akram urged a renewal of global commitment to the UN’s vision, advocating for a united world where conflicts are resolved peacefully, human dignity is respected, and future generations inherit a just and prosperous world.
