Islamabad: Pakistan has reiterated its dedication to upholding the ceasefire agreement with India, amid reports from India of alleged violations in certain areas.
In response to a statement from the Indian Foreign Secretary concerning these violations, Shafqat Ali Khan, the Spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed that Pakistan’s military forces are handling the situation with responsibility and restraint.
Khan emphasized the importance of addressing any challenges in the implementation of the ceasefire through appropriate communication channels.
He stressed that maintaining peace requires troops on both sides to exercise restraint.
The statement comes as both nations navigate the complexities of a longstanding and often fragile ceasefire agreement.
