Pakistan Ramps Up Humanitarian Aid to Gaza and Lebanon, Dispatches 12th Shipment


Islamabad: Continuing its efforts under the directives of the Prime Minister, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has sent a second consignment of humanitarian aid from Karachi to Lebanon, aiming to assist the war-affected regions of Gaza and Lebanon. This marks the 12th aid shipment dispatched by Pakistan to these areas, demonstrating a sustained commitment to providing relief in conflict zones.



According to Press Information Department, the latest shipment included about 100 tons of essential supplies such as medicines, ready-to-eat meat, tents, tarpaulins, warm bedding, winter clothing, and powdered milk. The aid was flown from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, to Beirut. The sendoff ceremony saw participation from NDMA representatives, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al-Khidmat Foundation, and local administrators who highlighted the ongoing needs of the populations in Palestine and Lebanon amid persistent conflicts.



The attendees at the ceremony reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to supporting those in distress and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between welfare organizations and the public. Additionally, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal recently announced the creation of the “Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Gaza and Lebanon” to gather public donations and bolster Pakistan’s relief initiatives for these war-stricken areas.
