Islamabad: Pakistan has voiced its concerns regarding India’s alleged support for terror organizations. At a weekly news briefing in the capital, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized what she termed as an established fact that these groups receive backing from India. She highlighted a past incident where an Indian Naval Officer was arrested by Pakistan, accusing him of orchestrating espionage and terror activities in the region of Balochistan.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Baloch urged Afghan authorities to take decisive action against terror factions and to prevent their soil from being used against Pakistan or any neighboring country. She stressed the importance of Afghanistan taking Pakistan’s persistent requests earnestly, warning against testing the patience of the Pakistani populace.
In response to inquiries about Pakistan’s relations with China, Baloch affirmed the nation’s commitment to ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions within Pakistan. She elaborated on the extensive dialogue and cooperation between the two countries, which includes counterterrorism and the security of Chinese citizens. This cooperation, she noted, is grounded in mutual respect, mutually beneficial collaboration, and respect for each other’s sovereignty. The spokesperson underscored that as “Iron brothers” and strategic partners, Pakistan and China are determined and capable of thwarting any attempts to disrupt their relationship.
Addressing questions about Pakistan’s ties with the United States, Baloch highlighted the history of friendly relations between the two nations. She noted that it is in their mutual interest to strengthen this relationship based on mutual respect, shared interests, and non-interference in each other’s domestic matters.
