Pakistan provides lifesaving medical equipment for Bangladesh’s COVID-19 Response

Islamabad, July 08, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan has provided lifesaving medical equipment for Bangladesh’s COVID-19 Response. This equipment which includes 10 ventilators, 20 C-PAP breathing aid machines, 10 beds, an elevator was handed over by Pakistan High Commissioner in Dhaka Imran Ahmed Siddiqui to President Ahsania Mission Cancer and General Hospital Kazi Rafiq-ul-Alam on Thursday. On this occasion, High Commissioner Siddiqui underscored Pakistan’s vision of regional partnerships for peace and sustainable development while reiterating its commitment to addressing the impact of the pandemic jointly.

In the context of regional cooperation, the High Commissioner mentioned that Pakistan has contributed 3 million dollars to the SAARC Covid-19 Emergency Fund to support regional efforts in the common fight against Coronavirus pandemic. The President Ahsania Mission Kazi Rafiq-ul-Alam thanked the High Commission for Pakistan for timely contribution and briefed the High Commissioner on various projects of the Hospital.
