PAKISTAN PROPOSES ENHANCED LABOUR MOBILITY WITH AUSTRALIA

Islamabad, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Jawad Sohrab Malik, in a meeting with the Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Neil Hawkins, suggested that Australia could benefit from the vast reservoir of skilled Pakistani professionals. The proposition aims to fortify labour mobility between the two nations and enrich the Australian market.

According to a news release by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during their discussion in Islamabad, both parties sought to strengthen mutual cooperation and explored potential avenues to increase the movement of skilled labour from Pakistan to Australia. Furthermore, Malik shed light on the capabilities of Pakistani professionals to significantly contribute to the Australian workforce. An additional aspect of their dialogue centered around the potential establishment of centers of excellence within the Technical and Vocational Education and Training sectors in both countries.
