Pakistan Prime Minister Discusses Bilateral Relations with Kazakh President in Eid Call


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, extending Eid ul Adha greetings to him and the people of Kazakhstan. The discussion underscored the commitment of both nations to enhance their bilateral relations and cooperation.



During the conversation, the leaders reviewed the current state of relations between their countries and discussed forthcoming engagements. Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of their bilateral ties, reaffirming their dedication to realizing the full potential of cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.



The dialogue also touched upon regional issues, with Prime Minister Sharif briefing President Tokayev on Pakistan’s efforts to maintain peace and security in the region amid the recent Pakistan-India crisis.



Anticipation for future diplomatic visits was highlighted, with the Prime Minister expressing eagerness for President Tokayev’s visit to Pakistan later this year. This visit is expected to feature the signing of significant agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two nations.



President Tokayev reciprocated the Eid greetings and conveyed his warm wishes to the people of Pakistan. He confirmed plans to visit Pakistan toward the year’s end, with his visit to be preceded by that of the Kazakh Foreign Minister. Additionally, both leaders are set to meet during the upcoming Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summits.
