Islamabad, The President of Pakistan has officially summoned the National Assembly to convene in a session scheduled for April 1, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. This assembly will take place at the Parliament House in Islamabad, as detailed in a recent notification issued by the National Assembly Secretariat.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the notification, numbered F.13(3)/2024-Legis., is an exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Acting Secretary General, Chaudhry Mubarak Ali, signed off on the summons, which directs the Manager of the Printing Corporation of Pakistan Press, Islamabad, to ensure the publication of this notification in the Gazette of Pakistan, Extraordinary (Part-III). Twenty copies of the Gazette are to be supplied to the National Assembly Secretariat as part of this process.
The National Assembly session’s agenda has yet to be announced, but it is expected to include discussions on a variety of legislative and national issues. The summoning of the assembly demonstrates the continuous efforts of the Pakistani government to engage in democratic processes and address the country’s legislative needs.
