ISLAMABAD, President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, has accused India of committing what he describes as the worst form of state terrorism in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. His statement comes as the world observes Human Rights Day today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, President Alvi’s message on this occasion was a call to the international community to hold India accountable for its actions in the occupied territory. He criticized the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that the people there are suffering under a reign of terror imposed by the Indian state.
In addition to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, President Alvi highlighted the plight of Palestinians. He condemned the actions of Israel, alleging that the Israeli Defence Forces have committed atrocities against innocent civilians, including women, children, and healthcare workers. He pointed out the destruction of hospitals, schools, and residential areas by bombing.
Dr. Alvi expressed disappointment with the international community’s response to these issues. He lamented the lack of decisive action against Israel for what he termed as the genocide of the Palestinian people. The president’s message serves to draw attention to the severity of human rights violations in both Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, underscoring the need for global accountability and intervention.
