Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired an inter-ministerial meeting to review preparations for the 8th Session of the Pakistan-Oman Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC). The commission, set to be co-chaired by the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and Oman, aims to bolster cooperation between the two nations across several sectors.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting focused on reviewing the agenda, bilateral agreements, and logistical arrangements for the JMC. Key areas of focus will include trade, investment, industry, agriculture, finance, oil and gas, labor, consular affairs, security, defense, climate change, civil aviation, education, media, and culture. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the JMC in reinforcing bilateral ties and instructed all stakeholders to ensure comprehensive preparations and effective follow-up to achieve concrete results.
The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa; Secretaries of the Economic Affairs Division, Interior, and Maritime Affairs; Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman; and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant ministries.
