Pakistan Police Hockey Team Advances to Quarter Finals in 67th National Championship

Lahore, 16 Oct 2023: The Pakistan Police Hockey Team continues to showcase impressive performances in the 67th National Hockey Championship held at Ayub Stadium, Rawalpindi. Securing their position in the quarter-finals following three consecutive victories, the Police Team recently triumphed over Islamabad with a score of 4-1. This marks the team’s qualification for the quarter-finals after a gap of 12 years. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, through a video call, extended his congratulations and lauded the team’s commendable performance. Patron Hockey Team DIG Ahsan Younis also expressed his congratulations. Dr. Usman Anwar further advised the team, including Head Coach Masood ur Rehman, Coach Shehbaz Ahmed, and Captain Owais Khan, to maintain their stellar performance in the upcoming matches. Additionally, directives were issued to ensure the welfare of police athletes. The grand finale of the 67th National Hockey Championship is slated for the evening of October 23.
