Islamabad, In a firm response to the Bisham terrorist attack that resulted in the tragic loss of five Chinese nationals, Pakistan has vowed to bring the perpetrators, facilitators, and abettors to justice. During a weekly news briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch highlighted the attack as an assault on the Pakistan-China friendship, affirming both countries’ resolve to continue their collaborative efforts, particularly on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and to safeguard the relationship against any attempts at sabotage.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Spokesperson Baloch emphasized Pakistan and China’s unyielding bond as “close friends and Iron brothers,” committed to defeating threats against their partnership. She reassured that Pakistan is taking additional measures to enhance the security of Chinese nationals and projects within the country.
Addressing other regional issues, Baloch commented on the stalled Pakistan-India trade relations since 2019, following India’s controversial actions in Jammu and Kashmir. She reiterated Pakistan’s stance, indicating no change in response to these events.
The spokesperson also raised concerns over India’s reported plans to auction lithium resources in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir, denouncing such moves as illegal and exploitative of the Kashmiri people’s rights. Baloch called upon India to respect the local populace’s entitlement to their land and natural resources.
Furthermore, Baloch expressed apprehension over ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, urging international backers of Israel to advocate for an end to violence against Palestinian people, compliance with UN Security Council resolutions for an immediate ceasefire, and the facilitation of humanitarian aid throughout Gaza.
