Pakistan Pavilion Draws Crowds at Paris Gastronomy Festival


Paris: The Pakistan pavilion at the International Village of Gastronomy in Paris has emerged as a focal point for culinary enthusiasts, as Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch inaugurated the exhibit. This high-profile event, a staple in Paris since 2016, showcases global culinary traditions and is attended by food lovers worldwide.



Ambassador Baloch emphasized Pakistan’s rich culinary heritage and expressed gratitude for platforms that foster appreciation and understanding of international cuisines and cultures. The participation in this festival aligns with the embassy’s ongoing public diplomacy efforts to promote Pakistani culture and cuisine in France.



The pavilion attracted substantial attention, with visitors eager to sample an array of Pakistani dishes, including chicken biryani, channa chaat, chicken seekh kebab, vegetable samosas, gulab jamans, and jaleebi. The famous drinks, rooh afza and mango juice, also drew interest. Enthusiasts engaged deeply with the cooking methods, ingredients, and recipes on offer.



This year, the event features participation from 62 countries and French regions and anticipates over 10,000 daily visitors during its four-day run. Ambassador Baloch praised the embassy team’s dedication to organizing Pakistan’s participation in the festival.
