Islamabad: Pakistan’s Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, announced a plan to revamp the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) with Chinese collaboration. The initiative is part of a Strategic Reform and Cooperation Plan aimed at modernizing the country’s agricultural research.
During a high-level meeting held in Islamabad, Hussain emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming PARC into a leading institution for food security. The reform plan is designed to make PARC more efficient and innovation-driven.
The Minister expressed gratitude to the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences for their support in developing a strategic roadmap for the reform. The collaboration aims to enhance Pakistan’s agricultural research capabilities.
