Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr to discuss the ongoing “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos,” launched in response to reported Indian aggression. During the meeting, the Prime Minister briefed the President about Pakistan’s countermeasures to Indian actions.
The session was attended by key figures including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar.
President Zardari commended the Armed Forces for their professional and strategic response to what he described as unprovoked missile attacks from India. He stated that Pakistan’s response was a necessary measure to protect the nation’s sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.
Emphasizing Pakistan’s desire for peace, President Zardari noted that the country’s restraint amidst provocations had been significant. However, he expressed that the persistent hostilities from India had compelled Pakistan to take decisive actions.
He assured that the unity of the Pakistani nation is unwavering, with collective support for the Armed Forces against the aggression. The President reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
This meeting comes amid heightened tensions between the two nations, with both sides engaged in diplomatic and military maneuvers.
