Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reached out to Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim to express his condolences over the recent floods that have severely impacted several states in Malaysia. During the telephone call, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed Pakistan’s solidarity with Malaysia and offered humanitarian assistance to aid in relief efforts.
According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif praised the Malaysian government’s quick response to the natural disaster and assured Prime Minister Ibrahim of Pakistan’s support during this challenging period. Reflecting on the positive developments in bilateral relations following Ibrahim’s visit to Pakistan in October, Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The conversation also touched on progress in resolving trade issues highlighted during the Malaysian Prime Minister’s recent visit. Both leaders expressed a desire to maintain the momentum of high-level exchanges, with upcoming visits planned for early next year.
