Pakistan Observes International Day Against Breast Cancer

Islamabad, Today, the International Day Against Breast Cancer is being commemorated nationwide, with the aim of amplifying awareness around breast cancer and emphasizing the significance of prompt diagnosis and treatment for women. Marking the occasion, President Dr Arif Alvi shed light on the concerning statistics, noting that Pakistan registers one of the steepest mortality rates from breast cancer in Asia.

He accentuated the nation’s current limitations in breast cancer screening and treatment facilities, emphasizing the pivotal role of early detection and intervention in combating the disease.
