Pakistan Neutralizes Twelve Indian Drones Amid Rising Tensions

Karachi: Pakistan’s armed forces have successfully neutralized twelve Indian Harop drones as tensions between the two nations continue to escalate, according to a statement from Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The drones were reportedly sent to various locations in Pakistan, marking what officials described as a significant act of aggression by India.

The drones targeted areas including Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, Miyano, and Chore near Karachi. While most of the drones were neutralized, one managed to engage a military target near Lahore, resulting in injuries to four Pakistani soldiers and partial damage to equipment. Additionally, an incident in Miyano led to the death of one civilian and injuries to another.

Lieutenant General Chaudhry emphasized the seriousness of the provocation posed by these drone incursions, describing them as part of a pattern of aggressive actions by India. He referenced past incidents, including attacks on places of worship and civilian infrastructure, and noted the loss of Indian aircraft and drones, along with casualties along the Line of Control.

The DG ISPR criticized India’s approach, suggesting that the Indian government is exacerbating tensions rather than pursuing rational solutions. He warned of the risk posed by India’s actions to regional security and highlighted the vigilant stance of Pakistan’s armed forces in response to these threats.

The ongoing situation has drawn attention from the international community, with concerns about the potential for further escalation in an already fragile region.
