Karachi, In a significant display of combat readiness and warfighting potential, the Pakistan Navy conducted a Live Weapon Firing (LWF) exercise involving the FM-90B Surface to Air Missile in the North Arabian Sea. Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, Commander Pakistan Fleet, presided over the event as the chief guest.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the exercise demonstrated the precision and effectiveness of the Pakistan Navy’s capabilities, as a PN ship successfully engaged and destroyed an aerial drone target. This operation reaffirmed the Navy’s operational readiness and combat potential, marking the culmination of the sea phase of Pakistan Navy’s major maritime exercise, SEA SPARK-2024.
The purpose of SEA SPARK-2024 was to validate the operational plans of the Pakistan Navy and assess its preparedness for war. Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi lauded the officers and men for their dedication and professionalism. He emphasized the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to ensuring the seaward defense of Pakistan and protecting national maritime interests at all costs.
