Pakistan Navy Ships Engage in Bilateral Exercise NASL AL BAHR in UAE

Islamabad: Pakistan Navy Ships SHAMSHEER and HAIBAT recently docked at Mina Zayid, Abu Dhabi, to partake in the bilateral naval exercise NASL AL BAHR with the United Arab Emirates Navy. The visit underscores the ongoing maritime collaboration and strategic ties between Pakistan and the UAE, fostering enhanced interoperability and operational readiness among their naval forces.

According to Pakistan Navy, the ships were welcomed by senior officials of the UAE Navy and the Defence Attaché of Pakistan upon their arrival. The Mission Commander and the Commanding Officers of PNS SHAMSHEER and PNS HAIBAT engaged in fruitful discussions with Brig Abdullah Faraj Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander of the UAE Navy, focusing on mutual interests and the further strengthening of bilateral naval relations.

The visit also facilitated community engagement, with notable figures including the Assistant Minister for Security and Maritime Affairs of the UAE, Salem Saeed Al Jabri, and the Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE attending. The presence of senior UAE Armed Forces leadership and members of the Pakistani community highlighted the cultural and diplomatic aspects of the naval collaboration.

In addition to diplomatic meetings, the port stay included various interactive activities such as ship visits by students and community members, and joint sports events, enhancing camaraderie between the personnel of the two navies. Following their stay, PNS SHAMSHEER and PNS HAIBAT will proceed with participating in the NASL AL BAHR exercise, aimed at bolstering naval capabilities and reinforcing the solid alliance between Pakistan and the UAE.
