Pakistan Navy Ship Strengthens Ties with Maldives Through Port Visit

MALE: Pakistan Navy Ship SAIF made a port call at the Port of Male as part of its ongoing overseas deployment, reinforcing Pakistan’s maritime ties with the Maldives. The ship’s arrival was met with a formal reception by Maldivian authorities, underscoring the significance of the visit.

The Mission Commander engaged in discussions with the military leadership of Maldives and visited the High Commission of Pakistan. These meetings covered topics such as shared interests, naval cooperation, and maritime security.

During the ship’s stay, PNS SAIF was visited by government officials, ambassadors, and members of the diplomatic community, highlighting the vessel’s role as a diplomatic bridge. The visit concluded with a Passage Exercise conducted alongside Maldives Coast Guard vessels, showcasing cooperation between the naval forces.

The regular visits of Pakistan Navy ships to Maldives are indicative of the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, fostering greater interoperability and mutual understanding in maritime operations.
