Pakistan Navy Ship Moawin Establishes Free Medical Camp in Kenya

Islamabad: Pakistan Navy Ship Moawin made a port call in Mombasa, Kenya, where it set up a free medical camp, providing consultations and treatments to local residents. The initiative was conducted as part of a visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between the two nations’ naval forces.

According to Pakistan Navy, the arrival of PNS Moawin was met with a warm reception from local authorities. The medical camp, staffed by Pakistan Navy surgeons and specialists, offered free consultations and medications, which were well-received by the community. The effort was appreciated by the residents, who benefited from the services provided.

During its stay, the Commanding Officer of PNS Moawin met with Commander Kenya Navy, Major General Paul Owuor Otieno, and other local officials. Discussions covered mutual interests and potential areas for enhanced cooperation. The Commanding Officer conveyed messages of goodwill from the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and expressed gratitude for the support from the host navy and the local Pakistani community.

The visit and the medical camp underscored the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to fostering goodwill and delivering essential medical services to those in need.
