Karachi, The Pakistan Navy conducted an Industrial Seminar at Bahria Auditorium in Karachi. The event, attended by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf as the chief guest, brought together academia and representatives from various private sector industries.
According to the Director General Public Relations (Navy), Admiral Ashraf highlighted the importance of evolving technology and the need for the armed forces, particularly the Pakistan Navy, to keep pace. He stressed the necessity of close cooperation between the defense sector, local industry, and educational institutions. The seminar served as a platform for local industries to demonstrate their capabilities in supporting the Pakistan Navy, which is known for its technological intensity.
The Naval Chief appreciated the private sector’s response to the technological challenges and emphasized the joint efforts of the Pakistan Navy and local industries towards achieving self-reliance. Speakers from different organizations underscored the significance of indigenization and self-reliance in the seminar. The event saw participation from numerous naval officers, dignitaries, industry representatives, and prominent academics, reflecting a collective commitment to advancing technological capabilities and self-sufficiency in Pakistan’s defense sector.
