Pakistan Navy Enhances Regional Cooperation with Visit to Oman

Muscat, The Pakistan Navy’s ship PNS Aslat recently visited Salalah port in Oman as part of its Regional Maritime Security Patrol duties. The visit underscores a continued commitment to regional stability and international naval cooperation.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the PNS Aslat received a warm reception from Omani naval authorities upon its arrival. Discussions during the visit focused on enhancing mutual interests and cooperation between the two nations’ naval forces. The visit culminated in a joint naval exercise, highlighting the operational synergy between Pakistan and Oman.

This visit follows PNS Aslat’s participation in Operation SCARLET TRIDENT and a naval exercise with the British Royal Navy’s HMS Lancaster. The exercises practiced a range of maritime operations including sea search and rescue, helicopter landing, and anti-narcotics and anti-trafficking measures.

The series of engagements by the PNS Aslat are part of Pakistan Navy’s broader strategy to bolster regional peace and stability through maritime collaboration and the development of naval capabilities.
