Pakistan Navy Completes Training of PNS Babar Crew in Turkey


Golchik, The crew of the PNS Babar, a new ship of the Pakistan Navy, has successfully completed their training at Golchik Naval Base, Turkey. The training was a collaborative effort between the Turkish Naval Forces and Pakistan Navy, aimed at enhancing the crew’s capabilities in various naval operations.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the training program was the first of its kind, emphasizing the strengthening of mutual relations between the two navies. High-ranking officials, including the Commander of Golchik Naval Base and the Commanding Officer of the Istanbul Naval Shipyard, visited the PNS Babar during the training. The Turkish Naval Forces’ top officials praised the operational and training standards of the Pakistan Navy. Additionally, PNS Babar paid tribute to Turkish martyrs at the First World War Memorial in the Kanakle Strait.



PNS Babar is the first of four Miljum-class ships being developed under a Pak-Turkey agreement, with two ships being built in Istanbul and two in Karachi, further underscoring the deepening military cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey.
