Pakistan Navy Chief Engages Global Counterparts at Western Pacific Naval Symposium in China


Rawalpindi, Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf actively participated in the 19th Western Pacific Naval Symposium, held in China, engaging with top naval leaders from around the world under the theme “A Shared Future with the Sea.”



According to Inter Services Public Relations, Admiral Ashraf held several key meetings with international counterparts, including the Commander of the US Pacific Fleet, the First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff of the Royal Navy, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Federation Navy. Discussions also extended to naval chiefs from Indonesia, Bangladesh, South Korea, Singapore, and the Acting Deputy Commander of the Brunei Navy.



During these interactions, Admiral Ashraf discussed the Pakistan Navy’s pivotal role in addressing emerging threats in maritime security and the blue economy on a global scale. The Pakistan Navy, which has been an observer at the symposium since 2014, emphasized the importance of strengthened bilateral ties and cooperation with other navies to bolster regional and global maritime safety.



This year’s symposium provided a significant platform for dialogue and cooperation, enhancing mutual understanding and collaborative efforts among the navies participating from across the globe.
