Islamabad, The Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) have successfully seized a significant consignment of narcotics in the North Arabian Sea, marking a major victory in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the region.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, the operation was carried out by the PMSS Zhob, a vessel of the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, which intercepted and captured a large quantity of narcotics. The drugs seized in this operation are estimated to have a value of thousands of dollars in the international market.
This latest operation represents the third major anti-narcotics effort by the Pakistan Navy in the past ten days, highlighting their continued vigilance and proactive stance in combating illicit activities along the maritime borders. Both the Pakistan Navy and the PMSA maintain a constant presence in the area to monitor and secure the sea lanes from various threats, including drug smuggling.
The successful joint operation underscores the effectiveness of the surveillance and patrol systems in place, which are crucial for ensuring the security of Pakistan’s maritime interests.
