Pakistan Naval Academy Celebrates 121st Midshipmen and 29th SSC Commissioning Parade

Karachi: The Pakistan Naval Academy (PNA) in Karachi hosted its 121st Midshipmen and 29th Short Service Commission (SSC) Commissioning Parade, marking the graduation of 70 midshipmen and 28 SSC cadets. The event was attended by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf as the chief guest, who congratulated the new officers and their families on this significant achievement.

According to Pakistan Navy, Admiral Ashraf praised the high standards of training provided by the Pakistan Naval Academy, which also trains cadets from friendly countries. He expressed confidence that the international cadets would serve as ambassadors, further strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic ties through naval collaboration. The Admiral emphasized the importance of modern technological proficiency, particularly in AI-driven platforms, reflecting the Navy’s focus on advanced warfare technologies to ensure national maritime security.

The ceremony also included the presentation of several prestigious awards. Lt Naveed Ahmed PN received the Quaid-i-Azam Gold Medal for being the best all-round officer. Midshipman Abdullah Waheed was awarded the coveted Sword of Honour, and Midshipman Aftab Ahmed received the Academy’s Dirk. The event underscored the Naval Academy’s role in preparing officers to lead with honor and innovation in the face of evolving maritime challenges.
