Pakistan Naval Academy Cadets Secure Silver at International Sailing Regatta in Brazil

Karachi: Cadets of the Pakistan Naval Academy (PNA) Sailing team achieved a historic feat by securing a Silver medal and overall second position at the 79th International Naval Academy Sailing Competition held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The competition featured teams from nine nations competing in the J24 boat category.

According to Pakistan Navy, the competition saw participation from cadets of naval academies from Pakistan, Brazil, China, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, and India. The PNA team captain attributed the team’s success to the rigorous training provided at the Pakistan Naval Academy.

This marks the second significant international success for the PNA cadets in recent months, following their first-place victory at the International Sailing Championship in Sri Lanka earlier in August. The Chief of the Naval Staff extended his congratulations to the PNA team and commended the academy’s faculty and instructors for their consistent performance on the international stage.
