An important underpinning of this event is the potential amplification of agricultural collaboration between Pakistan and China. The recent finalization of five key agriculture SPS protocols between the nations stands testament to this commitment, granting Pakistan access to a lucrative USD 30 billion market encompassing commodities like cooked beef, dairy, chillies, cherries, and assorted livestock products. This development is poised to significantly bolster Pakistan’s export volumes to China.
The Sichuan Agriculture Expo, reputed as the premier agricultural exposition in western China, is anticipated to engage over 400 million individuals. With over 2000 exhibitors marking their presence, the event is expected to draw a footfall surpassing 200,000 attendees.
