Pakistan Mobilizes Support for Nationals After Tragic Road Accident in Iran

Islamabad: Pakistan has extended deep condolences to the families of pilgrims killed in a devastating road accident in Yazd, Iran. The government has swiftly activated support mechanisms, including a Crisis Management Unit, to aid the victims and coordinate with Iranian authorities on the ground.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the Pakistani Consul in Zahidan has been dispatched to the accident site to oversee the situation and assist the injured. The focus is on providing immediate medical relief and organizing the repatriation of the deceased, many of whom hail from Sindh province.

The Pakistani Ambassador in Tehran and the Consul in Zahidan are actively engaging with Iranian officials to ensure the prompt return of the bodies and to support the injured. This concerted effort underscores Pakistan’s commitment to its citizens abroad, particularly in times of crisis.
