Islamabad: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb and Power Minister Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari today met with the delegation from Port Qasim Electric Power Company (PQEPC), led by CEO Liang, to discuss ongoing and future investments in Pakistan’s power sector.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the meeting in Islamabad, Minister Aurangzeb acknowledged the significant contributions of PQEPC and other Chinese firms to enhancing Pakistan’s energy infrastructure. He expressed appreciation for their investments and welcomed the delegation’s suggestions for further improving the sector.
The ministers reassured the delegation of their commitment to continue collaborating closely with stakeholders, including major investors like PowerChina, a prominent state-owned enterprise in China, to address challenges and implement sustainable solutions within the power sector. The delegation affirmed PowerChina’s continued support to Pakistan, emphasizing its role in the ongoing development and improvement of the energy landscape.
This meeting reflects the deepening cooperation between Pakistan and China in strategic sectors, crucial for Pakistan’s economic growth and energy sustainability.
