Islamabad: Pakistan’s embassy in Ankara observed the nation’s 79th Independence Day with a flag-raising ceremony. Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid raised the flag accompanied by the national anthem, witnessed by embassy personnel and Pakistani citizens.
Messages from Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister were shared, emphasizing the nation’s triumph in Marka-e-Haq. This event was portrayed as a pivotal display of the country’s fortitude, unity, and expertise against what they termed unjust Indian hostility. They pledged their dedication to creating a forward-thinking and inclusive country based on the principles of Jinnah and Iqbal.
Ambassador Junaid honored the sacrifices of the nation’s founders. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to tranquility, advancement, and prosperity, stressing the significance of unity and resolve in forging a brighter future. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and their right to self-determination.
Ambassador Junaid highlighted Pakistan’s accomplishments in ‘Marka-e-Haq’ and ‘Operation ‘Bunyan-um-Marsoos’ as proof of national determination, professional skill, and collective resolve. This achievement, he stated, validates the Two-Nation Theory and inspires the nation to honor its founders by constructing a future worthy of their aspirations.
He expressed gratitude to Turkish leaders and citizens for their congratulatory messages and enduring solidarity. Ankara’s Atakule, located on Jinnah Avenue, will display messages of Pakistan-Turkiye unity. Istanbul’s Bosphorus bridges will be lit in Pakistan’s flag colors, symbolizing the strong ties between the two nations.
