Pakistan, Malaysia Pledge To Enhance Defense Cooperation


Islamabad: Pakistan and Malaysia have pledged to bolster their military partnership amid changing regional security concerns. This commitment arose from a meeting in Rawalpindi on Wednesday between Malaysian Chief of Defence Forces, General Tan Sri Hj Mohd Nizam bin Hj Jaffar, and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.



The two military leaders discussed the shifting global and regional security landscape, emphasizing the need for cooperative ventures in defense and security. They explored opportunities for mutually advantageous collaboration.



General Jaffar commended the Pakistan Armed Forces for their professionalism, accomplishments, and sacrifices in combating terrorism, as well as their ongoing contributions to regional peace and stability.



Earlier, a formal tri-services guard of honor welcomed the Malaysian Chief of Defence Forces upon his arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters.
