Islamabad, March 01, 2023 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says despite financial constraints, Pakistan is making all-out efforts to provide relief to earthquake affected people of Turkiye and Syria. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad this evening, he said Pakistan has already sent assistance of tons of goods for the quake-affected people of the two brotherly countries and additional 50,000 tents will soon be dispatched to Turkiye.
The Prime Minister lauded the rescue teams of Pakistan for carrying out successful search and rescue operations in earthquake hit areas in both countries. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik said the Pakistani teams saved precious human lives during their search and rescue operations.
