Islamabad: State Minister for Railway and Finance, Bilal Azhar Kayani, has dismissed concerns about a potential petroleum shortage in Pakistan, assuring that the nation holds sufficient reserves and that supply chains remain uninterrupted. The statement comes amidst rising tensions between Iran and Israel, which have prompted close government monitoring to ensure stability.

Minister Kayani emphasized that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has instructed oil marketing companies to uphold mandatory reserve levels, addressing any global uncertainties. He reassured the public that petroleum inventories are adequate and that distribution operations are functioning smoothly across the country.

Furthermore, Kayani noted that the Prime Minister’s Office, along with the Ministries of Petroleum and Finance, are continuously overseeing the situation. He advised citizens to ignore unfounded rumors and rely on information issued by official channels.

The state minister reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining energy security and stability for all citizens, reinforcing confidence in the country’s ability to manage external pressures effectively.
